The Judicial Committee of the Privy Council possessed territorial as well as non-territorial jurisdictions. The territorial jurisdictions consisted of those geographical areas of the world from which appeals were sent. The non-territorial jurisdictions, on the other hand, were areas of law over which it had authority – both within Britain and overseas.
